This is the Privacy Statement for M2 Technical Services, issued in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Introduction

This Privacy Notice explains how we handle your personal data including our approach, your privacy rights and how the law protects you. Your personal data is any information relating to you from which you can be identified.

How We Collect Personal Data

• When you make a website enquiry, subscribe to our website or inform us of any problems with our site;
• When you contact us in person, over the telephone, by email, by post or through social media;
• When you purchase our services;
• When we purchase your products or services;
• When you apply for a job;
• In customer surveys;
• Through CCTV which may be in operation at our office or on siteworks

Visitors to our Website

We use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard log information and details of any visitor behaviour patterns.  We use this to identify the number of visitors to different pages on our website.  The information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone.  Only information which is collected through our enquiry form will collect personal details.

We use a third-party service to help maintain the security and performance of the M2 website. Our website is hosted at GoDaddy.com and run by V-16 Ltd.

Information We May Collect (but not limited to)

• Contact details such as name, address, contact telephone number (mobile and landline) and email address;
• Enquiries for more information about M2's services;
• Contractual details about the products or services we provide to you;
• Payment or transaction data;
• Supplier and subcontractor’s competencies, i.e. driving licence
• Job applications;
• Complaints;

How We Will Use Your Information

• To respond to your enquiries and complaints;
• To facilitate payment;
• To facilitate job applications;
• To measure customer satisfaction;
• To inform you of new products or services;
• To ensure safety and security of our staff and visitors;
• To ensure suppliers and subcontractors are competent for the service they are providing;

We do not collect or compile personal data for release or sale to outside parties for consumer 

marketing purposes or host mailings on behalf of third parties.

We must have a legal reason to process your personal information.  Your information will usually be processed to meet our contract with you or to meet our legitimate interest to facilitate your interest in our business.  On the rare occasion where your consent is required, this will be communicated to you at the point of collection.

Sharing Your Personal Data

We may share your personal data with the following third parties:

• With your consent, we will pass your personal data on to third parties, for example if you ask us to put you in contact with a Consultant;
• If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our contracts with you, or to protect our rights, property, or our safety and/or the safety of our customers, or others;
• We may need to confirm your identity and check your details on Companies House before we provide products or services to you or your business. We may also share your personal information as needed to help detect fraud and money-laundering risks.  We may use solicitors and other advisors for these purposes.  We may allow law enforcement agencies to access your personal data.  This is to support their duty to detect, investigate, prevent and prosecute crime.
• We may disclose your personal data to third parties in the event that we sell any part of our business, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets. If any part of our business is acquired by a third party, personal data held by us may be transferred.

Information Storage and Retention

We seek to keep your personal data secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful process and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.

Only authorised personnel and third parties will have access to your personal data.

We will keep your personal information for at least as long as we have a relationship with you. When deciding how long to keep your personal after our relationship with you has ended, we take in to account our legal, regulatory and professional obligations.

Your Rights

You have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of it.  We would encourage you to inform us if the information we hold about you is no longer accurate.  We may need extra information from you to deal with any request.  If you do not want us to process your data, then we may not be able to facilitate your interest in our business.

In the event that you have a cause for complaint, please contact us and will follow up with you resolve this.  If you have a data privacy related complaint, you also have the option to direct your complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
